民族与社会科学学院概况

基本情况

General Introduction

　　广西民族大学民族学与社会学学院成立于2003年7月22日，学院是由原民族学人类学研究所、社会科学部的社会学、社会工作专业和教育学心理学教研室以及政法系的历史学专业整合并组建起来的教学科研单位。学院仍保留民族学与人类学研究所牌子。

　　截止到2008年9月，学院有全日制在校本科生、研究生764人；拥有民族学、历史学、社会学、社会工作和应用心理学5个本科专业，民族学一级学科硕士点1个，民族学、中国少数民族史、马克思主义民族理论与政策、中国少数民族经济、中国少数民族艺术、专门史、社会学二级学科专业硕士点7个，民族学博士点建设学科1个；设有9个教研室，4个实验室和1个民族博物馆。

　　学院师资力量雄厚，现有教职工53人，其中专任教师45名，教辅人员8人。在专任教师中，有教授（研究员）14人，副教授11人，博士16人，博士生导师1人，硕士生导师23人，广西有突出贡献科技人员2人，广西十百千人才1人，广西“八桂学者”1人，广西高校人才小高地1个，广西教学团队1个。

　　Founded on July 22nd, 2003, College of Ethnology & Sociology (referred as CES hereinafter) is a new teaching and research branch organ of Guangxi Nationality University. College consists of former Ethnology and Anthropology Study Center, Sociology, Social Work, Education and Psychology Research Department of Social and Science Department and History of Politics and Law Department.

　　By the end of September 2008, the newly established CES has a staff of 764 students, including undergraduates and postgraduates. It sets up 5 undergraduate programs：Ethnology, History, Sociology，Social Work and Psychology, and 7 graduate programs： Ethnology, National Theory & Policy of Marxism, History of Minority Nationality in China, Minority Nationality Economy of China, Minority Nationality Arts of China, Special History and Sociology. There are 9 teaching and research offices, 4 laboratories and 1 national museum in CES.

　　At present, CES has 53 staff, including 45 teachers and 8 teaching assistants. Among the 45 teachers, there are 14 professors (fellowship), 11 associate professors, 16 doctors, 1 doctorate supervisor and 23 postgraduate supervisors. 2 are endowed with the title of Guangxi’s Scientific Researchers with Extraordinary Contribution and 1 with the title of Top 100 Talents of Guangxi.

学科优势与特色

Advantages & Characteristics of Subject

　　民族学是广西首批重点学科，是研究我国华南、西南各民族与东南亚各民族的重要阵地，学术水平在国内外处于中上水平，其中对壮族、瑶族与东南亚相关民族的教学和研究居领先水平。由于学科的特殊地位、突出的特色、雄厚的师资力量、丰硕的科研成果，民族学学科被确定为广西民族大学的龙头学科。目前，民族学学科已被国务院学位委员会批准列为博士点建设学科，学院办学层次更上一个台阶。

　　历史学是学校老牌学科，该学科突出民族特色和广西地方史特色，并融合师范性质，为广西培养了一批合格的教师和干部，是广西高等院校中设有历史学本科专业的3所高校之一。2005年，专门史硕士点的申报成功，进一步提升了历史学学科建设水平。

　　社会学和社会工作是学院新兴学科，2002年，社会学和社会工作开始招收本科生，2007年社会学硕士点申报成功。经过几年建设，社会学学科建设水平有较大提高，学术成果日渐丰厚，师资队伍结构日趋合理，是一个充满活力和发展前景良好的学科。

　　进入“十一五”时期，学院提出，要立足于广西，面向东南亚，突出区位优势和民族特色，强化各学科内在联系，实行学科整合，进行“大民族学”学科建设，共同打造“民族学”学科品牌，为地区经济发展和社会进步做出积极贡献。

　　 As one of the key subjects in Guangxi, ethnology plays a significant role in the study of nationalities in South and Southwest China and Southeast Asia, keeping a leading place in domestic academic circle, especially on teaching and research of Zhuang, Yao nationality and the relevant nationalities in Southeast Asia. On account of the extraordinary characters, excellent faculty and fruitful research achievements Ethnology is regarded as the most prominent subject of Guangxi University for Nationalities .on account of its extraordinary characters, excellent faculty and fruitful research findings. Consensus has been reached on which Guangxi University for Nationalities will, by applying for doctorate program of ethnology, improve its overall academic development level and devote more efforts building a first-class nationality university.

　　As one of the traditional subjects, History emphasizes the ethnic characteristics and Guangxi local traits. Focusing on cultivating future teachers, Guangxi Nationality University, which is one of the three universities with undergraduate program of history in Guangxi, has cultivated numerous qualified teachers and cadres for Guangxi. In 2005，the postgraduate program of Special History establishing successfully further promoted the development of the History subject.

　　Sociology and social work are new subjects in CES. In 2002, the two majors began to recruit undergraduates and established the postgraduate program of sociology successfully in 2007. After some years’ construction, the level of sociology study has been enhanced a lot, the study achievements has been amassed gradually, the teachers of this major has been improved. Hence, sociology is a subject which is full of vigor and has a bright prospect.

　　Chinese economy has entered entering its 11th Five-Year Plan. CES will make use of Guangxi geographic advantages and ethnic characteristics, strengthening inside communication between each subject and implementing the integration and restructuring of subject. By building the “Great Ethnology” subject, CES strives to enhance the influence of ethnology and make contribution to regional economic development and social progress.

科学研究

Scientific Research

　　学院十分重视科研工作，科研项目和科研成果一直居全校前列。近五年来，学院教师共承担了50多项国家及省部级科研项目，独自撰写或参与编写出版著作50多部，在各类刊物上发表学术论文、调查报告、译文400多篇。仅2008年，学院就获得科研项目27项，其中，国家社会科学基金项目5项，国家民委项目1项。目前，学院省部级以上在研项目41项，其中国家级项目16项，省部级项目25项，科研经费390.32万元。

　　CES paid high attention to scientific research, and its scientific research projects and research achievements took leading place in the university. In the past five years, CES has undertaken more than 50 research projects of provincial and ministerial administration, self-complied or co-wrote over 50 books, published 400 academic papers, survey reports and translated articles on various magazines or news papers. In 2008, CES got 27 research projects, 5 of which are from National Social Science Fund, 1 is from the State Ethnic Affairs Commission. CES has 41 ongoing research projects under provincial and ministerial administration, 16 of which are under the state administration and 25 are under provincial and ministerial administration. The research fund totaled at 3.902 million yuan.

对外交流

International Communication

　　学院积极开展对外交流活动，先后与泰国、越南、老挝、日本、俄罗斯、英国、法国、美国、澳大利亚、香港和台湾等国家和地区进行课题合作、资料交流、人员互访讲学与考察活动。承办或派人员参与各种重大学术研讨会。学院还与日本大阪国立民族学博物馆、日本东洋大学、法国国家科研中心、美国依阿华州泰学研究中心、英国剑桥大学社会人类学系、老挝新闻文化部文化研究所、越南国家社会与人文科学中心、香港中文大学、香港科技大学、台湾清华大学等国外或境外机构建立长期密切的合作关系。通过交流与合作，扩大了影响，增进了了解，加深了友谊，推动了学术研究的深入。

　　CES attaches great importance to foreign exchange activities. It has cooperated with Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Japan, former USSR, Russia, France, America, Hong Kong, Taiwan and etc in carrying out research project, exchanging information, sending mutual visitor, sponsoring and attending various prominent academic seminars. It has also established a long-term and close cooperation relations with foreign organizations, such as Japan National Museum of Ethnology, CNRS, Toyo University of Japan, Social Anthropology Department of University of Cambridge, Department of Mass Culture of Ministry of Information and Culture of Laos, National Center For Social Sciences and Humanities of Vietnam, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, National Tsing Hua University of Taiwan, Thai Studies Center in Iowa, the United States and etc. Through the exchange and cooperation activities, CES has built up its international image, enhanced bilateral understanding, enjoyed in-depth friendship and further promoted the development of academic research.
